So be sure and use the preview feature, or look up the remix on YouTube before ordering.ġ. That said, fans of club music will enjoy this single, but fans of the original won't necessarily (as you can tell from the other reviews). The song from the score (The Artifact & Living) is amazing as well. But this techno-styled mix is great nonetheless. The soundtrack version is still far superior. Now, I'm one of those people who argue that sometimes that a remix CAN out-due an original. Considering I already had the original as it was a bonus track on the Donnie Darko score CD and I'm a huge fan of club remixes, I ordered a used copy of part 2. The next CD (this one) included a club mix and a track from the Donnie Darko score, as well as a music video. Included the original from the movie, another song by Gary Jules, and then a version of Mad World with added percussion. That was when it dawned on me: There's probably a CD Single that released. Any who, I was doing research on the song and found that it went #1 in the UK.

The original didn't do much for me, but the version by Andrews & Jules is too breathtaking for words.

It is one of the rare occurrence where the cover (this song was originally by Tears for Fears) was better than the original. One of the reasons it stuck with me so well was because of the song played at the end of the movie, "Mad World" by Gary Jules & Michael Andrews. I sawĭonnie Darko - The Director's Cut (Two-Disc Special Edition)įor the first time over the summer and it quickly became one of my favorite movies of all time. This is the part 2 of a now out of print limited edition UK CD single set.
