Incidentally, the Tama guitar was named in honor of Hoshino's wife, Tama. Then Hoshino dropped the Tama guitars in favor of the Ibanez line. Few years later, Elger was renamed Hoshino U.S.A. As a result, Elger and Hoshino stopped producing Gibson replicas, but by that time, they were already a premiere high quality guitar company, holding their own design against the top notch U.S. Gibson sued Elger and Hoshino in the 70's(hence the lawsuit era) for copyright. Then the company expanded to Japan and joined forces with the Hoshino company(the Tama and Ibanez guitar company. Rosenbloom named his company in honor of his daughter Ellen and his son Gerson, thus Elger. It is(as far as I know) In the 60's Elger guitars were produced in the USA. Elger guitars has pretty interesting history. I am not sure about the exact year of manufacture, but this guitar was probably built in the late 60's or very early 70's.
